Sawdust From the Board

August 1, 2019 Thanks again to all that former board president (and now clerk) Karen Palmer has done for UUSO during the past four years. The baton is now officially in my hands and I will do my best to live up to the honor.  The first board meeting of the 2019-20 fiscal year was held on July 24. The first part of the meeting was open to all. After the open part of the meeting, we met for a less formal retreat. During the open meeting, we took care of some annual record-keeping, like setting the dates for the Congregational meetings, which will be on October 27 and May 17. The minister’s annual self-assessment was reviewed and will be published in the newsletter. The Treasurer reviewed, corrected, or explained all budget lines that reported over 2 percent of their anticipated expense.
